Work Preparation
Day to Day Cover - Primary
All primary teachers are expected to have some pre-prepared work ready to take into the classroom. We will let you know which year group you will be teaching in order for you to have the correct materials at hand. However it is recommended that you make up a file containing work for all year groups that you are qualified to teach so that you are always fully prepared. Please mark any work you set and leave a short note for the class teacher.
Day to Day Cover - Secondary
Work is normally pre-set, or a member of the department will give you some work. It is essential that you follow the work set and leave a note regarding what work has been completed and where it has been left. If you set any work yourself please ensure it is marked.
Long Term Assignments
When in a long term placement, both Primary and Secondary teachers are expected to plan and mark their own work. Extra duties may include attending parent evenings and other extra curricular activities that may be expected of a permanent member of staff.
