Day to Day Teachers are seeking Teaching Assistants/Cover Supervisors to join our growing supply teaching team.
Cover Supervisors teach work that has been set by the class/subject teacher and interacts with the pupils to support them with their progression and learning. The role offers an excellent opportunity to gain paid teaching experience and can lead to an opening onto a Graduate Teacher Program.
This is a challenging, yet rewarding role that requires a confident approach to teaching and good behavioral management skills. You will teach subjects across the curriculum and gain a first hand insight into schools and teaching practices. As a Cover Supervisor you will not be required to carry out class preparation or marking.
We would like to hear from those who
- Hold a degree and have experience of working with groups of children aged 11-16yrs
- Are qualified teachers and returning from a teaching career break
- Are further education trained but now wish work at secondary school level
- Have classroom assistance experience and looking to complete a PGCE or GTP next academic year
